How To Make Your Own Cannabis Wax At Home

Making your own cannabis wax at home is a great way to enjoy the benefits of cannabis without having to buy expensive, pre-made products. Cannabis wax is a concentrated form of cannabis, made by heating the plant material and then using butane to extract the THC, CBD, and other cannabinoids. With the right supplies and a bit of knowledge, making your own cannabis wax is relatively simple.

Gather Materials

Before you start, you'll need to gather all the necessary materials. This includes a pyrex dish, butane, filter papers, a container, and a stirring rod. You'll also need a rice cooker, a heat source, a thermometer, and a metal spoon. Make sure you have everything you need before starting, as a missing item could lead to a less successful process.

Prepare the Cannabis

Now you're ready to start the process. Begin by grinding your cannabis into small pieces. The smaller the pieces, the better your end product will be. Once the cannabis is ground, spread it evenly across the bottom of the pyrex dish.

Heat the Cannabis

Next, place the pyrex dish on top of the rice cooker. Turn the rice cooker on and set the temperature to 220°F. Place the thermometer in the middle of the dish so you can monitor the temperature. Heat the cannabis until the temperature reaches between 230°F and 240°F. This will help activate the THC and other cannabinoids and make them easier to extract.
